Welcome to Sermon Summary! If you missed our live service, we’ve got you covered. We provide a concise overview of every sermon Pastor Waylon shares during our Sunday Morning Worship. We know life is busy and you can’t always be in the pews, but you never have to miss a beat in our current sermon series.

“Bold and Risky” (Mark 5:25–34)

This sermon centers on the woman with the issue of blood as a picture of bold, risk-taking faith that rewrites a broken story. For twelve years she lived defined by suffering, isolation, and failure, but everything changed when she heard about Jesus and chose to act.

The message unfolds in three movements:

  1. The Risk of the Reach
Her healing began when her desperation outweighed her fear, social rejection, law, and personal shame, she pushed through the crowd to touch Jesus. Bold faith often means stepping past fear, past opinions, and past your past to pursue Him anyway.
  2. The Risk of the Reveal
After being healed, she could have stayed hidden—but Jesus called her forward. Her public confession required vulnerability and courage, risking humiliation. True faith isn’t just reaching for Jesus in private; it’s being willing to stand and testify openly about what He has done.
  3. The Reward of the Relationship
She came for healing but received something greater—identity. Jesus called her “Daughter,” moving her from outsider to family. Her risk didn’t just fix her condition; it restored her place and rewrote her story.

Core Message:
Faith that changes your life is bold and risky. It pushes through fear, embraces vulnerability, and leads to transformation—not just in circumstances, but in identity.

Final Challenge:
Everyone is writing a “verse” with their life. Will you remain in the safety of the crowd, or will you take the risk to reach for Jesus and let Him rewrite your story?
